hela Sverige Visa alla jobb hos Wenngarn Fastighetsförädling AB i Sigtuna The Animal Care Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, intake, care, and placement of all animals, ensuring the animals safety, health, and wellbeing. As well as: maintaining animal structures, a variety of other garden-related duties, and working with volunteers and trainees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Select, tend, feed, train, and socialize animals. Ensure and monitor their health and welfare using humane practices throughout their lives
Plan and complete animal purchasing process
Coordinate with various feed and farm supply stores and vendors
Plan feeding schedules and purchase feed
Coordinate with pizzeria, restaurant, WWOOF house to collect food scraps
Plan watering schedules and execute
Assist with the cultivation, training, and mentoring of trainees and volunteers in animal care
Plan how the animals with be integrated and used to benefit Wenngarn garden staff and property
Plan, build, and maintain animal housing structures and fencing
Assist with public tours and service learning groups
Take photos and prepare updates, articles, and other useful information about the animals at Wenngarn for social media publication and distribution on the website
Schedule and organize quarterly farm clean up day
Assist with the development of animal policies & procedures
Collect, analyze, and present reports and information as required
Work with the staff to develop annual budget related to the animal program; and monitor income and expenses for this area
Perform general administrative tasks such as email, phone, greeting guests and volunteers, and processing paperwork
Work as a team player at all levels and support the staff
Attends meetings and participate as requested
Maintain competency in all position responsibilities
Comply with all safety and work rules, policies, and procedures
Provide support and serve as back up to other staff positions as needed
Communication and Professionalism:
Interacts in a kind, compassionate, and professional manner, in keeping with Wenngarn manner
Exhibits clear communication dealing with individuals over the phone, in person, or via email
Communicates effectively with fellow employees, visitors, volunteers, and vendors
Maintains confidentiality and security
Required Knowledge, Skill, and Ability:
Ability to lead and work in a team environment
Computer proficient (databases, data entry, e-mail, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Internet)
Ability to speak, read, write legibly, follow verbal or written instructions and perform basic math
Must be flexible, dependable, and responsive
Ability to plan, organize and prioritize
Ability to collect, maintain and analyze data
Must be able to work independently
Knowledge of best practices related to animal welfare, relationships, and training
Ability to perform physical labor in all kinds of weather conditions
Job requires heavy lifting and strenuous activity
Education, Experience, and Licensure:
Bachelor Degree in related field or 3 years related experience
Prior animal care, supervisor, and training experience
Valid drivers license.
