hela Sverige On behalf of one of our clients we are looking for an Analytical Chemist for a temporary assignment in Stockholm. The assignment will start in June and proceed until the end of March 2013.
Responsibilities:
As an Analytical Chemist you will support the Medicinal Chemists and the different internal projects with compound characterization analysis using techniques such as LC-UV/MS. You will also be involved in general analytical work.
Your main task will be:
• Purity analysis and identity confirmation for hit verification.
• Maintaining the analytical instrumentation at optimal conditions.
• Analysis of compounds for external or internal libraries.
• Method development.
• Chiral separation analysis.

Profile
We are looking for a person with a relevant science degree and experience with chromatography and mass spectrometry. You have a good knowledge in analytical chemistry and particularly in the chromatography field. If you have experience from the pharmaceutical- or biotech industry it is a merit.
Since you will work with different project groups and will have a supporting role it is very important that you have excellent communication- and social skills and that you are service minded. It is also important that you are flexible and a strong team player. You are ambitious, enthusiastic and goal oriented and always strives to achieve the highest quality in everything that you do. You are able to work effectively and structured under pressure and to deliver within the deadlines. For this position we require excellent oral and written English and good knowledge in searching chemical databases. You should also have knowledge in physical instrumentation and its applications and software.
Personal suitability is of great important for this position.
