The product has been developed by our R&D team in Lund since 1993. Today QlikView can adapt to everything from a single user on a single desktop, to a client server solution involving multiple servers in multiple locations, even on multiple continents.
The R&D Sustained engineering unit manages the Qlikview releases that are in production, by analyzing and fixing reported defects as well as preparing service releases and customer patches. The unit has close co-operation with Support and Product management with the objective of serving our customers and maintain product quality. In the team there are software developers and analysis and test engineers, in total around 15 people. The unit is serving customers in several countries and recognizes the language challenges with for example Japanese.
The R&D Sustained engineering unit is looking for a talented and team-oriented professional with excellent Japanese language skills. The work is analysis and test engineering and main focus to serve our Japanese customers in complex questions.
We are looking for the most talented and team-oriented analysis and test engineers.
Your responsibilities:
Perform systematic testing on software developed by QlikTech in close collaboration with the R&D developers
Software quality assurance is performed by automated testing and predefined protocols but also by free use of the program and exploratory testing
Analyze, re-produce and manage bugs to resolution
Close collaboration with the Support department in complex questions from customers
Produce changes to technical documentation
Knowledge transfer internally and externally
Occasional travelling may be required
Your profile:
Trained and experienced in different test methods and tools Experience of both manual and automated testing as well as exploratory testing is an advantage. If you have experience of tools like Test Complete and Test Manager that is a merit.
Minimum 3 years of experience from software testing
Excellent Japanese language (verbal and written) and culture skills
Strong computer knowledge (Windows)
Knowledge of data bases and basic programming
Windows environments is preferred as well as experience from administrating 2003 and/or 2008 servers, Windows security, Active Directory, Exchange Server and networks (TCP/ IP)
Ability to work well with others in a high-pressure environment
Excellent communication skills
Ability to tailor technical information to different audiences
Bachelor degree level or equivalent experience from software testing
Excellent verbal and written English skills as the company language is English
The position is based in Lund.
