Analysis Engineer - Torque Measurement

The department Propulsion Transmission System works with the mission to develop innovative transmission systems and components by having competent and committed engineers. Independent of source, we are to efficiently distribute mechanical propulsion energy and manage related driver interface to fulfill customer expectation of premium mobility. Propulsion Transmission Testing is one of the department's six sections and we are a team of 20 persons. We perform analysis and verification of the complete transmission system in both vehicle and test bench.
Our team is facing an interesting future towards CAE based verification with new verification methods and new ways of working. One of the areas where we are to strengthen our competence is rotational torque measurements. An important area when dimensioning our components and surrounding systems. We are therefore looking for you who want to develop the area and turn us into a department, experts in torque measurement and modelling.

As Analysis Engineer responsible for torque measurement, you will work in a cross-functional team as a link between physical testing and CAE. You will have a leading role where you are to develop the area with new methods, tools and equipment. This is a new role where you will lead the development of an important area with multiple interfaces and great impact on customer satisfaction.

Main responsibilities

* Plan, define and perform torque measurements
* Request suitable simulations and understand the correlation between CAE and measurement for optimal result
* Identify the need of measurements of surrounding systems and ensure competitive measurement methods and virtual models

Required qualifications

* M.Sc. Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
* Basic knowledge in multi body dynamics and strength durability
* Interest in machine elements and how things function for example gearboxes
* Work experience from physical measurements where you have defined the measurement set-up, carried out the test and analysed the result
* Good at analysing data
* Driver's license (B)
* Experience of testing in vehicle and/or test bench is meritorious
* Interest and knowledge in cars and transmission technology is meritorious
