We are looking for an Analysis Engineer for the department Electrical Systems Design that is responsible for the entire vehicle electrical system. Electrical Systems Design is a part of Vehicle Software & Electronics within Volvo Cars' Research and Development (R&D), and the department has approximately 200 employees.
Within the department, the group A&V EMC/ELP/S-EDS and Simulation today includes 12 persons, and is responsible for the electromagnetic compatibility, electrical performance, system EDS analysis and verification of all Volvo Cars projects. The group is also responsible for computer simulations of EMC and wired communication e.g. 3D simulations of antenna system and their interaction with the rest of the vehicle.
You will be specialized within the electrical performance A&V area, but a part of your time can be spent in EMC, S-EDS or simulation areas. As a part of our team, you get access to long-term development opportunities in a dynamic and continuously growing field.
Main responsibilities
You establish and develop relationships with designers within almost all system areas of the vehicle as well as building an understanding of the HW designs within those areas. In this position, you will therefore build and maintain a wide personal network within R&D. You have degrees of freedom to form your deliveries and to develop your own skills, both technically as well as in the area of leadership.
Required qualifications
* M.Sc. or B.Sc. in electronics, computer science or equivalent
* Testing experience preferred
* Driver's license
Meritorious
* Experience of HW design
* Experience from automotive development
Personal qualities
* Results-oriented
* Structured with strong documentation skills
* Communicative and a strong relationship builder
