Electronics Engineer | Audio Systems | Connected Experience|
The Audio Systems group within the Mech In and HW department is responsible for HW-, SWand System development of all audio functionality in the cars. Apart from the sound systems (amplifier and speakers) the responsibility also includes systems like ANC (Active Noise Control), Microphones, Bluetooth Handsfree and Exterior Sound for Hybrid/Electrical vehicles. Project Management and Audio Tuning is also part of the group's responsibilities. Our daily work includes transforming ideas into innovations to meet the high standards of future vehicles. We use the latest technologies and advanced methods within the audio field and with the launch of the all-new audio content in the new SPA platform, we are at the forefront of audio technology in cars If you would like to contribute to the next generation advanced Volvo Cars and support and secure the quality within our product steam product, Hardware, software and Wireless Connection, then this could be the right thing for you Together we are supporting a technical area that is crucial for Volvo Cars continue success. As an Electronics Engineer, you will be part of a highly skilled agile team which has a good mix of nationality, gender, age and experience. Here you will have the opportunity to learn and develop for every sprint. There are no limits when it comes to how much there is to learn.
Do you fit the profile?
Within the Audio team, we are looking for professionals and an enthusiastic Lead Engineer, who will drive project-related items related to audio systems responsibility. As a person, you are self-motivated to deliver on time, on target and with quality. You have very good communication skills and are a team player. Flexibility and a growth mindset are important qualities to possess.
• Drive overall project plans for specific components and SW.
• Deep knowledge of the range of amplifiers used by Volvo
• Drive suppliers to deliver on time and with quality.
• Being proactive and a part of the solution in technical matters.
• Synchronize HW, SW etc internally with the car programs and plants. Meritorious:
• University degree in electrical engineering or equivalent *
Experience from working as an Electronics Engineer at Volvo Cars *
Documented project management skills
• Ability to make decisions and documented leadership skills.
• Fluent in English, both verbally and written
• Knowledge of Agile ways of working
