Aftersales Director has the overall responsibility for leading the Aftersales business strategy and the performance of the network for the Volvo Trucks brand through the Volvo Group joint venture Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles (VECV) in India.

VECV is the distribution partner in India, which has approx 750 employees, including market company and retail organizations, representing Volvo Truck brand in a separate entity within the joint venture.

The position holder will be responsible for the management of an effective cooperation with VECV, in terms of Volvo Trucks Aftersales and Network business strategies. Supporting and driving our product offerings, providing high quality services and premium experience to our customers to deliver customer satisfaction, sustainable profitability and growth.

The position reports to VP Market India.

Main activities and responsibilities

In this role, you will:
• Secure an efficient cooperation with VECV for overall performance in aftersales, profitability targets.
• Translate Volvo Trucks Business Strategies to key focus areas for local market. Secure Implementation and coordination of decided strategies, actions and tools to support an effective and efficient aftersales business.
• Provide guidance and resource to support the network on the full range of Aftersales products including technical product support, warranty admin and soft products.
• Drive performance of the Commercial Aftersales (spare parts and aftersales services) within the retail network, with the appropriate development of pricing, parts & product support.
• Ensure compliance and quality in accordance with Retail Operating standards.
• Fulfilment of financial and operational KPI's in accordance with Volvo Trucks framework in order to monitor performance and provide reporting analysis upon request.
• Actively drive and follow-up actions with VECV to improve customer satisfaction

Qualifications and critical competencies for the position

• Strong interpersonal skills/abilities with a high degree of 'flexibility', including an ability to network effectively across a diverse customer base/international organisation and to build enduring relationships across functional areas and geographical areas
• Broad generalist and good understanding of all retail business & environment and preferably within the area of Aftersales
• Experience of leading, mentoring and coaching teams to perform and deliver top quality services.
• Earlier experience from India is beneficiary.
• Demonstrating high and solid level the relevant Volvo Group Leadership competencies.
• Demonstrated expertise in coaching and facilitation
• Fluent in both speaking and writing English
