The section Strategy, Concept & Maintenance at Exterior Engineering is responsible for the advanced engineering (AE) assignments throughout our area of technology, i.e within
pedestrian safety and lighting technology, covering a lot of different attribute areas, i.e safety and design. It offers a wide cross-functional network of contacts with among others, suppliers, purchasing, manufacturing engineering and other departments within R&D. The group/section is responsible in early phases; advanced engineering, strategy - and concept lead. The section is also responsible for the maintenance activities(Quality, Cost reduction) for cars in running production and some specialist functions. The group consists of about 12-15 persons.
As an Advanced Engineering Lead Engineer Exterior you will lead advanced engineering assignments according to GTDS (our development system within AE) to project offers.
Main responsibilities
• Project management
Required qualifications
• Master of Science or equivalent experience
• Experience from project management
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Driver's license (B-level)
• Knowledge in Volvo Car Groups product development process, systems and tools is meritorious
Personal qualities
• Structured
• Innovative
• Ability to organise and prioritise own work tasks
