The group Collision Avoidance is a part of the Active Safety and Vehicle Dynamics Functions. The department is responsible for Software and Function development within the areas; Driving Support, Collision Avoidance, Automated Drive and Vehicle Dynamics. Several functions are today in production and was launched as 'World First' such as City Safety and Full Auto-brake with pedestrian detection. There is a high set goal to continue this world leadership. The group is responsible for products that offer collision avoidance technologies, as above, that supports drivers in avoiding rear-end and pedestrian accidents. This support consists of warning and autonomous emergency braking, but in the future autonomous steering interventions will be used as well.
As a Senior Function and Software Developer you will work in all phases of the development of Collision Avoidance functionality from early specifications, function model development and automatic SW generation to launch and costumer quality validation. You will have a senior roll and guide junior members of the team. We work in teams, together with our verification department.
Main responsibilities
• Design function and compile complete vehicle requirements for the function. Including FMEA and System Safety analysis
• Design function model and generate optimized SW
• Establish verification plan on complete vehicle level including all analysis and verification activities, regarding the function, e.g. HIL, SIL, vehicle testing and field testing
• Report the functions ability to meet the requirements
Required qualifications
• At least M.Sc. Electrical Engineering, Technical Physics, Computer Science with emphasis on control theory, interaction and function design or equivalent
• 7 years of work experience in function development or control theory and at least 3 years within Active Safety
• Driver's license B
• Experience from model development in Simulink or SW development
• Experience of product development, preferably within the automotive industry is meritorious
• Experience of developing Collision Avoidance functionality is meritorious
