At Global Finance Operations you will be a key contributor to the creation of the next generation Finance community - One Finance. You and your team will develop and implement smart and nimble finance processes and tools to support the business in the best way. This will be done in close cooperation with Business Control in the functions as well as the Group Finance functions. Through networking and benchmarking you will be part of taking the Finance organization into a modern organization, ready to meet the challenges ahead of us.
We are now looking for an Accountant to the Operations Accounting team. The Operations Accounting team is mainly dedicated to the daily accounting and book closing activities. This work will provide a great opportunity for the right person to gain knowledge about Volvo Cars finance processes and tools. Significant interaction and close cooperation with GSS, the unit responsible for Diplomat/Expat and Military sales. Please note that this is a temporary position.
Main responsibilities
* Reporting of actuals for Product & Quality
* Make sure proper monitoring are implemented within the bought service area to avoid issues and identify potential process improvements.
* Together with Finance Control and Business Control be the finance person in the operation with a broad network in the organisation.
* Close cooperation with other GFO teams
Required qualifications
* University Degree in Finance/Economics or equivalent
* Good knowledge of Finance processes and policies and full ability of applying these in the daily work
* Ability to take own initiatives and ability to develop the role and the processes
* Good understanding of Excel and SAP
* Fluent in English, spoken and written.
