The role
As an Accountant at Majority you will be part of an outgoing and successful team of 6 people. You will take active part in day-to-day and periodic finance tasks, performing tasks such as bookkeeping, reconciliations and salaries.
Main tasks - Accounts Payable
Responsibility and ownership of the day-to-day activities of accounting
Managing month-end closing activities and ensure timely reporting
Reconciliation of ledger accounts
Booking and payment of salaries
Submit reports, VAT and tax declarations to tax authorities
Assist in producing annual reports
Responsible for audit
Various ad hoc projects and tasks
We are looking for
A fast learning, proactive and thorough individual ready to grow with Majority. A person who likes to work in a team as well as individually and who thrives in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. We need someone who enjoys getting things done with a can-do attitude.
To be a successful candidate you have
University degree in Business Administration or equivalent
1-2 years of relevant bookkeeping and accounting experience
Experience and understanding of the overall tasks within accounting
Maintain a high level of confidentiality
Attention to detail, thoroughness and high level of accountability
Strong English both oral and written
Knowledge of Quickbooks or similar accounting systems is a plus
