Do you have a background in clinical diagnostics and experience of working in a sales' role? Would you like to work with products that can have a real impact on peoples' lives?
Our team is looking for an Account Specialist, who builds strong relationships, has a passion for sales and knowledge of the diagnostics industry.
In this role you will be part of Thermo Fisher Scientific's ImmunoDiagnostics Division (IDD), which develops, manufactures, and markets complete blood test systems to support the clinical diagnosis and monitoring of allergy, asthma and autoimmune diseases. With 1,600 employees worldwide, IDD is the global leader in in-vitro allergy testing and also the European leader in autoimmunity diagnostics. You will report directly into our Sales Manager for IDD Sweden and spend most of your time at supporting customers, working together with our Nordic team.
You will be joining a team of 10 and report into our Sales Manager, Sweden who is located in Uppsala.
MORE ABOUT THE ROLE
You will be responsible for maintaining and developing customer accounts and managing all sales and support activities in your accounts, which will involve around 50% travel. Building strong relationships with customers in the field will be key in this role as will executing and driving our sales strategies and plans in order to achieve sales targets.
Responsibilities will include:
• Securing renewal of existing and new customer agreements
• Tender support
• Ensuring you are regular contact with your customers through calls, visits, trouble shooting and supporting with trainings. You will also regularly attend exhibitions and congresses.
• Support and problem solving for customers
• Participate and engage in internal meetings/trainings
• Handle any complaints from customers regarding products
• Propose, plan, execute, report and effectively follow up sales and support activities
WE ARE LOOKING FOR A PERSON WHO:
• Has extensive experience from working with diagnostics products and equipment
• Has a science or medical degree and previous experience of working with diagnostics products or similar. It's preferable if you have experience and knowledge of allergy or auto-immune related products.
• Is analytical and systematic, thinks strategically
• Is highly proactive and independent, but also brings energy and ideas to team work.
• Is a strong network builder who likes to work cross-functionally with colleagues and customers around the world
• Has experience of field related work with instruments and support within the life-science, medical device or diagnostic area.
• Former sales experience from similar business
• Has a driving license and a willingness to travel around 50% of the time
• Speaks and writes both English and Swedish fluently
