Job description
In the role of Jr. Software Engineer, your main tasks consist of creating delivery project customizations for the company's various customers, by creating customized automation solutions and control systems for container cranes. You will be part of a software division that works closely with both hardware and development teams, and will be an essential part of, and team player in, various projects worldwide.
In the delivery of faucets, a lot of customization is required, even though there are inputs from the hardware side and standard applications to start from. This in turn requires a high degree of engineering and a creative mindset as you will be responsible for about 50% of the design code. The goal is to create reliable, efficient and safe adaptations for each customer and port.
As the work and projects take place on a global level, many exciting trips are added to the position. As a junior, you will visit both smaller and larger ports to physically understand what you are working with. You will also be assigned a mentor to support you throughout your first year. With time, you will get greater responsibility and role in projects where you also act as a start-up resource on the current site.
Profile

For this position, we are therefore looking for someone who feels motivated by both learning and teaching new knowledge. The position involves collaborations with both colleagues and customers around the world, which means that we are looking for one more team player to join the team. If you also have a practical interest in hardware and how things work mechanically, that's fine.
Competency requirements
• You have at least a university degree in computer engineering, robotics or electrical engineering
• You speak and write English fluently
• You have a good understanding of C and C++
Meritorious
• You have knowledge of other programming languages. For example, Java or Python
• You speak and write Swedish freely
• You speak and understand an additional European or non-European language. Ex, Chinese
• You have knowledge in Matlab

In the large terminal automation projects, they deliver electrical and automation systems for cranes, to all the largest ports in the world, which means that you get the chance to work here both locally and globally.
