The Radio Performance verification unit within Access Networks R&D center in Kista is responsible for Ericsson RBS HW Radio Performance verification including transmitter and receiver Radio performance. We perform verification for internal requirements as well as legal requirement. We perform customer demos and support our different regions with for example FOA support. We run complete RBS systems to monitor radio performance. Products scope covers RBS3000 and 6000 for GSM, CDMA, WCDMA and LTE.
The department is located in the hardware organization but has contacts with many other departments as we run complete nodes we are very much dependent on RBS software for radio and digital unit.
In this job you will run new product platforms, frequency variants and also new features.
An important part of our work is to configure and command the nodes. Today we mainly work with CPP nodes but also use other platforms.
You will have access to our RBS lab and do hands on work with RF equipment's. In our department you will learn about RF measurements and instruments such as spectrum analyzers and signal generators. You will also get to learn about internal and regulatory requirements for RBS radio.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure a high product radio performance is your main responsibility
• Setup test environment and execute test cases
• Analyze test result and generate test report
• Work closely with other R&D departments in Sweden and Canada
• Customer on-site support
• Perform demos for Customer in our lab facilities
Qulifications
• Master/Bachelor degree in EE, Telecom or equivalent
• 2~3 years of Verification Experience
• Knowledge of tele-communication systems
• Knowledge about Radio and LTE, WCDMA, GSM, CDMA standard
• Good communication skills and social ability
• Fluent in English speaking and writing
• Excellent teamwork and cooperation spirit, both professional and personal integrity, proactive and positive learning attitude
• Experience in Configuration and trouble shooting of RBS nodes
• Knowledge of lab IT-environment
Prefer:
• Experience of working with command-line interfaces
• Experience in Linux or other *nix operating systems.
• Experience in Ericssons Linux R&D environment
• Experience in Labview enviroment
• Familiar with Signal Generator, Spectrum Analyzer, Power Meter
• Experience using Element Manager
• Revision control (Clearcase)
• Experience of script languages such as Perl, Python or similar
• Knowledge about RNC or eRNC simulators
• Experience of configuring and commanding nodes in Moshell
