The successful candidate will work with Baseband SW architecture focusing in particular on solutions to virtualize the 4G and 5G baseband software. In addition, the candidate will focus on further development and optimization of the new EBBA (Ericsson BaseBand Architecture) to meet the needs of the evolving LTE RAN and IoT areas plus the demands of the new 5G RAN.
Responsibilities:
As the key driver of Baseband SW architecture from PA Network Systems, you will work closely with overall RAN architecture drivers in both product management and product development, ensuring that the architecture of the baseband fits into the complete architecture
You will participate in defining the evolution of the Ericsson 4G and 5G RAN and plan for the near and longterm roadmaps and strategies related to this
You will motivate and drive the requirements towards the development organization
You will ensure customer satisfaction and that Ericsson business targets are met by securing the right content prioritization, on time and with quality in the SW releases
You will negotiate the prioritization with internal experts, customers, market areas and customer units, and in many cases also device partners, to ensure the best possible outcome for company business
You will work across BNEW and other BAs, across DNEW and across market areas, to define the 4G and 5G SW roadmap, and be fully responsible for the assigned product area, across SW releases. This includes business opportunity analysis, product planning and follow-up, requirement management, value argumentation and development of sales material; with the target to secure maximum return on investments for 4G and 5G SW.
You need to be prepared to travel and interact with regions and customers
Key Qualifications:
An academic degree: MSc, MBA or equivalent.
Experience from Product Management, System Management or Research Management combined with a deep understanding of SW products including Ericsson's LTE RAN and/or Ericsson's 5G NR RAN. A background in virtualization of software is preferred.
You should be analytical and have a solid understanding of mobile systems in general and 4G/5G RAN in particular.
Well-developed leadership skills with the ability to coach high-performing teams
Good negotiation skills and capability to translate our products into values for our customers
You are highly motivated and generate energy around you, and for your topics.
Highly result-oriented and able to structure tasks, lead activities and establish common goals between several different units in a cross-functional way of working.
You must be able to establish good working relationships and high confidence among both technically- and market-oriented colleagues in order to drive an baseband SW architecture that is aligned with both internal and external needs
You are comfortable giving presentations internally both to peers and management, as well as all levels of customer representatives including C-level.
