24h Technologies AB, develop and sell web-based media system solutions for distribution of Video on demand services, live streaming, TV- and radio broadcasts. The company currently has 8 employees and offices in Stockholm, Manila and Toronto. The 24h Technologies share has been listed on AktieTorget, Stockholm since 2008.
In the fall of 2011 the company partnered with VIVA Entertainment to distribute Filipino movies to 3.5 million Filipinos throughout North America and 4.2 million Filipinos throughout the globe. The distribution of movies is realized with the 24h Media System, a proprietary system specialised in administration and streaming of media files.
The company is currently in an expansive phase. New customers will start using the 24h Media System service, new functionality will be added to the Media system and new frontends will be developed (web sites and applications for iPhone, iPad and Android).
As a developer at 24h Technologies you will work closely together with the project team, and with business representatives from different countries.
It is important that you are curious and have an interest in how the systems that 24h develops will be used, both from an end user perspective and also as a 24h product. You must also have a good ability to co-operate and to communicate.
Duties and responsibilities
• UML class and state diagram modelling
• C# programming
• SQL database related tasks including Object to Relational definition within the ECO tool for Visual Studio (
http://www.new.capableobjects.com/products/eco-model-driven-framework/)• GUI (view model) design
• Workflow realization using UML state diagram and "actions" within the ECO tool for Visual Studio
• Additional tasks:
o Adding storage support to .Net (FTP, HTTP, Amazon S3)
o Implementation of logging
o Email and file sending
o Wowza stream server configuration using XML
o Implementing web service call back interfaces for Wowza
Specific qualifications
• Knowledge and experience from working with:
o ORM tools, for example Microsoft Entity Framework. EF isn't used in the project, but experience with EF or other ORM tools are essential to understanding the software architecture and the systems ORM tool that we use "ECO".
o ASP.Net
o C#, Linq
o MS SQL-server 2008
o UML and Model Driven Architecture / Development
o Building WCF (Windows Communication Foundation) services
oInternet protocols such as: FTP, HTTP, HTTPS
• Excellent knowledge of English
