hela Sverige AstraZeneca are now looking for two talented and motivated analytical chemists to join their Analytical and Solid State Characterization team in Gothenburg. The consulting assignments will start in April and go on for 6 months to start with.
about the consultant assignment
Pharmaceutical Sciences is a department within Innovative Medicines and Early Development (IMED) Biotech unit. The vision for Pharmaceutical Sciences is to deliver the therapies of the future through scientific leadership in drug delivery, design of synthetic routes and manufacturing of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API). Our portfolio of projects span traditional small molecules to nucleotide based therapies and nanomedicines across AstraZeneca's therapy areas.
We're looking for 2 talented and motivated analytical chemists to our Analytical and Solid State Characterization team in Gothenburg. You will get the opportunity to join a highly collaborative team and help us deliver the analytical chemistry (stability, solubility, purity etc.) of products in the Innovative Medicines & Early Clinical Development (IMED) portfolio. You will provide analytical science expertise into our drug projects from discovery up to Phase 2.
To be successful in this role you will need a strong scientific background with good skills in written and verbal communication and the ability to engage and collaborate across boundaries with a problem solving attitude and delivery focus. The assignments are on temporary basis for 6 months.
Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
• Work collaboratively with colleagues in a lab based role, documenting your experiments carefully and to the right quality.
• Provide analytical, especially separation science expertise to the drug projects you are working in.
• Personally contribute to the progression of projects by timely delivery of data and scientifically based data analysis.
Who you are
Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required:
• MSc.or equivalent in relevant discipline with some industry experience
• Scientific knowledge within the separation science area
• Technical skills to use chromatography and detection of small molecules
• Good problem solving skills with the ability to learn quickly
• Collaborative and structured in way of working, ability to act independently.
